When in actually, it was just a few minor problems, that I’m not convinced the other didn’t company create so that we would think there were bigger problems. James was honest and quick in servicing these minor problems. We appreciated the honesty in what was really needed. All I can say is WOW…these guys are going to be my AC providers from now on!

“All I can say is WOW…these guys are going to be my AC providers from now on. I’ve lived in Austin for several decades now and have been very dissappointed in service providers in general. HVAC contractors in particular in my experience have been either grossly incompetent or downright fraudulent. In the past 8 years I have dealt with 10 different contractors ….none of which I would recommend to anyone. NOW I’ve found the right guys that will have my business going foward. James at Trusted H&C came out to my house arrrivng a few minutes EARLY for the scheduled appointment. He was very careful and repectful of my home (donning protective shoe covers each time he entered my house). Even my dog liked him. He was very thorough and listened carefully to my commentary, refining the information with well placed questions. He looked through my attic evaluating the duct work, drains, and even testing the static pressure of my system. He inspected my outdoor unit, used his HVAC gauges to evaulate the system pressures / temperatures, tested the motor capacitor, and the fan motor current to make sure everything was in spec. So guess what…..he DIDN’T try to sell me a bunch of expensive alternatives! It was a great check up and when I decide to do anything to my AC these are the right guys…thorough, technically superior, AND integrity out the wazzoo…..damn straight.”

“James came out on the evening of July 3rd after our AC completely died late in the afternoon. He evaluated the state of our equipment and tried everything he could to fix the existing system. He sat down and explained what had gone wrong and what our repair options were. However when you have a 15 year old system with a complete compressor failure it wasn’t worth the repair. He had estimates with multiple systems that met our specifications in our hands that night and was very patient with us over the next couple of days as we explored competing bids and made our decision, answering or responding to our calls despite the holiday. We explored options from Home Depot, Lowes, as well as a couple of other independent heating & AC companies. In the end it wasn’t only James service that we found was the best, it was his prices. He was able to get us a a very nice 16 SEER Lennox system for less than some of the others were quoting for a 13 seer Goodman/Amana unit. He also put the $65 he had charged for his original diagnostic visit towards the cost of the new system.

James showed up to install the outside compressor and inside air handler units on Sunday of the holiday weekend and he and his crew were very careful to lay down cloth from the door to the mechanical closet to keep our house clean and also made sure to keep the door shut to prevent our cat from running outside. We were also replacing a broken ceiling fan that day and James took a break from installing the AC unit to hold the fan up for us while my husband made the final connections.

They redid all of the insulation, reconnected the duct work from scratch, sealed and recaulked even the joints and connections that weren’t strictly required. He even redid the condensate drain line which was in rough shape. We recently got an Austin energy audit and the auditor actually exclaimed out loud and told us that the brand new metal flashing he had installed across the floor of the mechanical closet was ‘awesome’ and ‘nobody does that’.

He got the AC up and running Sunday but had to return on Monday to finish the heating part of the system because a part he needed hadn’t been available over the weekend. He was again timely, careful and responsive to questions. His installation includes a year of routine service to make sure things are running smoothly.

Mr. Poole was courteous, informative, polite and experienced. He explained in detail and showed us why the air conditioning went out, and what needed to be done to fix it.

“We called Mr. Poole on Friday nite at around 7:00 pm, realizing our air conditioning system was not working. He called us back within 15 minutes of receiving the call and was at our house within the hour. He was with another customer so as soon as he was done he came directly to our house. Mr. Poole was courteous, informative, polite and experienced. He explained in detail and showed us why the air conditioning went out, and what needed to be done to fix it. He could have told us we needed a new system since ours is 14 years old, but instead he said lets try and get another year or two out of this system (Honesty, that I like). So he changed the motor and cleaned the system and thank God it worked. Not only did it work but he adjusted it so it was not so loud. Who would have thought !!! :o ) Mr. Poole apologized for not having the part on hand because it was a special order part and promised he would get it first thing in the am as soon as the store opened. As promised, Mr. Poole was at my house at 8:00 am apologizing for not having the part in hand the night before. Needless to say, we will use Trusted Heating and Cooling any time we have an issue and for the maintenance of our system from now on. Thanks Mr. Poole!!!!!”

I highly recommend James he has the type of honesty and integrity that seems to have been lost in businesses these days.

I have an electric heater built into the exhaust fan in the Bathroom. It had stopped heating and had become extremely loud. This was very annoying. I have known James for 5 years and have never been disappointed in the service he provides. in the past he has replaced my furnace and has had to put in a new coil. He has always done a perfect job and I have never had to call him back to fix the same thing twice. so when I called him to ask if he could repair the bathroom heater he said he would be happy to take a look at it. When he arrived he took the unit out and cleaned it and checked it over. he found that the motor was dragging and that it needed some new parts. He had to go to several places to find what he needed but he is always willing to do what it takes to do the right thing and to make sure you are completely satisfied with his repairs. He was able to fix the bathroom heater and now it is so quiet I have to keep checking to make sure it is on!! I am really happy with the new heater it heats up so much better than the old one did even when it was new. I used to use nothing but large heating/cooling companies in the past but never again!! I highly recommend James he has the type of honesty and integrity that seems to have been lost in businesses these days. I will never call anyone else again for my heating/cooling services.
